Steven Paul Colón was a talented, kind-hearted, and driven young man whose life was filled with promise, purpose, and love. At just 22 years old, he had already made an impact on everyone who knew him, as a son, brother, and friend who radiated loyalty, humor, and compassion.
Steven had an undeniable passion for baseball. From a young age, the field was his sanctuary — a place where his dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit shined. Those who watched him play saw more than skill; they saw a young man who truly loved the game and the camaraderie it brought. His natural talent and discipline carried him through years of youth and high school competition, earning the respect and admiration of teammates, coaches, and his community.
Off the field, Steven was thoughtful, creative, and deeply loved by his family and friends. He had his whole life ahead of him, dreams he never got the chance to fulfill.
On September 24, 2022, Steven's life was tragically taken at the hands of David Ross Gregory, ending a bright future that had only just begun. The senselessness of his loss has left a permanent mark on his family, friends, and the community that continues to honor his memory.
Steven Paul Colón will always be remembered for his courage, kindness, and unwavering spirit. His story is now a call for truth and accountability, a reminder that justice must never be denied, delayed, or ignored.
